First, your child does not need to audition in order to participate in the musical! If they would like to try for a singing or speaking role, auditions are required.  Even if your child would like to be in the ensemble without a solo speaking or singing part, we recommend submitting an audition because it's great experience for your child and it gives us an idea of their abilities.

Audition videos are due April 3rd, 2024, after full tuition has been paid (Click here for payment).

There are some lightly romantic scenes (all PG, family-friendly!) for some of the characters, so be sure your child is comfortable with that while we consider casting. Just a reminder that the audition is a chance for us to see what your child is able to do, and that the role they try out for is not necessarily the role they will get.

One part will be dialogue (choose one of the audition sides from below); the other will be singing (one of the songs listed below).

When recording the singing portion, please use the performance tracks of the soundtrack, not the guide vocals.

Because the videos will be too large to send directly by email, upload the videos to YouTube and send the link. The video can be set to "unlisted" so that it can only be seen by us with a link.

For those of you who may not have used that feature:
 

• Create video on your device

• Upload it to your YouTube account

• In the title, list as [your child's] KTE 2024 audition

• Set "Visibility" to "Unlisted - Anyone with a link can view"

• Select audience as "No, it's not made for kids"

• Click "Upload"
